Can a locksmith replace a Lexus RX smart key without the original?

Yes. Rhinox uses the Autel MaxiIM IM608 Pro to perform PIN code extraction and immobilizer reset on Lexus vehicles. This allows us to program new smart keys from scratch even when all original keys are lost — no dealer tow required.

Does Rhinox serve Summerlin for Lexus key replacement?

Yes. Summerlin is served by our Flamingo/West location. We typically arrive in 25–35 minutes anywhere in the Summerlin area including Red Rock, The Trails, Summerlin Centre, and surrounding neighborhoods.

What tools do you use for Lexus RX key programming?

We use the Autel MaxiIM IM608 Pro for all Lexus key programming. This professional-grade automotive diagnostic tool supports full OBD-II key learning and EEPROM reading for Lexus Smart Access keys — the same capability as dealer equipment at a significantly lower cost to the customer.

How long does Lexus RX smart key replacement take?

Standard Lexus RX smart key programming takes 30–45 minutes. For all-keys-lost jobs requiring an immobilizer reset, expect 45–65 minutes on-site. Rhinox typically arrives within 28 minutes from your call in the Summerlin area.

Can Rhinox program a second Lexus smart key as a spare?

Yes. We recommend programming at least two keys whenever possible. Adding a second key during the same visit is cost-effective — typically an additional $50–$75 vs $175+ for a separate service call later. Ask about a two-key discount when you book.

What We Did

Our technician from the Flamingo location arrived at Summerlin's Red Rock area within 28 minutes. After verifying ownership, we used the Autel MaxiIM IM608 Pro to perform a PIN code extraction and full immobilizer reset on the 2020 Lexus RX 350. This allowed us to wipe the existing key list and program two new Lexus Smart Access keys from scratch. Both keys were tested and confirmed working — push-to-start, door unlock, and all remote functions.

Customer left Summerlin with 2 fully programmed Lexus RX smart keys. Total cost: $230 — saving them over $400 compared to the Lexus dealer quote of $650+ including towing.
